We opened as Gallagher's Bar & Grill in 2012. Later we updated our name to Gallagher's Sports Bar & Grill becoming Surf City's Premier Sports Bar.


As we felt the need to grow our brand, we realized the name Gallagher's is used throughout the State and the Nation. Hence the name change to High Waters Sports Bar and Grill.


Ownership has remained the same as well as our management team, menu and service team. 


It is our please to host you for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

 

We have hosted events big and small. If you are gathering friends and family for any occasion,  allow our professional team to create a memorable event for you.


Larger events of 48 guests or more will require pre selected menus such as the menus listed on this page. We are happy to customize a menu to address all of your needs. 


Large events of 48 guests or more will require a deposit, which will be applied to your final bill.


To rent our entire restaurant, the cost will vary depending on the time of the year and the day of the week. These rental rates are in addition to your Food and Beverage selections.

 Examples are as follows:


Off Season:

Week Days $2,500

Weekends  $ 4,000


In Season: May thru August

Week Days $8,000

Weekends $15,000


Major Holidays and Holiday weekends are excluded from our restaurant rental program.

Policies:

Thank you again for considering High Waters Sports Bar and Grill for your memorable occasion. We are delighted to be able to assist you with your needs to assure you have an effortless event.

All special event pricing does not include local and State taxes, 

and 18% Gratuity, which will be added to your final bill.

Final payments are due at the end of your event.

Deposits: Events require a deposit of $400.00 to secure your date and time. The deposit will be deducted from your final bill. In the event you cancel your event for any reason, your deposit becomes Non-refundable.

A final guest count will be required by Noon, seven days prior to your event, including the breakdown of each guest’s meal selection. You may add guests to the count after this final count by speaking with Peter Sloan personally. Once your final count has been received, you will be responsible for that guest count at the time of your final bill. 

We feel special events should be a place where social interaction

and fun prevail. We would like to suggest several Cocktail Party, Seated Luncheon and Seated Dinner party options below. You may wish to consider a Station Partyfor your memorable occasion.

A Station Party consists of several food stations peppered throughout our restaurant. Each station presenting a unique and flavorful bounty of food.

The stations will allow your guests to move freely between food stations making the selections that appeal to them. Each guest may have as much or as little food as they feel satisfies them. Additionally, as guests move from station to station at their own pace, they have the opportunity to interact with more guests at your party.

Adult Beverage Solutions: 

Note: Proper identification will be required from every guest.

Each event is address individually based on your event. 

· All inclusive – all beverages will be presented on your final bill

· Budget – You provide a dollar limit for adult beverages. Our team will advise when you are getting close to your limit. From there, you may simply add more to your budget or allow your guest to start their own person tabs.

· Ala Carte – Each guest may start their own tab

· Limited – You may offer each guest a limit of beers or wine per person. This will be handled by our team, handing out tickets per guest, redeemable for beer or wine, which will be added to your final bill. You will pre determine how many tickets we issue per person.

Music:

· With ample notice, you are welcome to utilize a DJ or Live Music during your event. The logistics of a DJ must be discussed with High Waters Sports Bar & Grill in advance of your event. Locations for a DJ are limited to locations with electrical outlets and the normal demand of our other business. Due to the open concept of out restaurant, there are no private rooms. That being said, the music played and the volume of your DJ will be supervised by Gallagher’s Management Team. Our goal would be to appease all guests in our restaurant at the time your DJ is playing. 

Please Note: We are a Sports Bar and will be showing various sports on all of our TV’s during your event. If your event coincides with a major sporting event, expect the sound on out TV’s. Otherwise, pleasant background music will be playing.
